The Tasmanian Running Festival (Sunday, 3 June 2018) provides a rare opportunity to secure naming rights of this celebrated event and home to the high profile Launceston 10k - Australia’s fastest 10k course which attracts a leading field of Australian elite athletes looking to battle it out for the prestigious title plus the event also sees the opportunity for the everyday athlete to achieve a personal best on Australia’s flattest course.
In addition, the festival consists of a 2k kids race and a 5k run allowing for those of all abilities interested in health and fitness to participate. The event attracts runners from local, intra-state and interstate and the event has strong support from Events Tasmania, the Tasmanian Government and the City of Launceston, and from media partnerships with LAFM and The Examiner newspaper.
In 2017, Pont3, organisers of the Blackmores Sydney Running Festival and other leading mass participation events, purchased the rights to the Tasmanian Running Festival and will continue to build on the success of the 2017 event to further increase participation, supporter numbers and aligned partners.
